3 tips for your next weekend sprint

Actionable advice you can use today (BTW WAITLIST OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY!)

Let’s say you want to do this on your own.

That’s fine.

To help you, here are some tips I would give anyone struggling with these problems, and here’s how to quickly implement them into your life.

Tip #1: The $1 Pre-Sale Test

Before you write a single line of code, create a simple Gumroad product page for your app idea. Write a short description, create a quick mockup image, and price it at $1. Share the link with 10-20 people in your target audience. If you can't get a few people to pay $1, the market has spoken. This 30-minute exercise can save you from a wasted weekend.

Tip #2: The "Prompt-to-Code" Workflow

Don't start with a blank code editor. Start with a blank text file. Write out the entire logic of your application in plain English comments. Then, feed those comments, section by section, to an AI like ChatGPT or Gemini. This workflow transforms you from a coder into an architect, which is a much faster way to build.

Tip #3: The "Minimalist UI" Principle

Your goal for a weekend sprint is a functional MVP, not a design masterpiece. Use a minimalist CSS framework like Pico.css or Sakura. They allow you to create a clean, professional-looking interface with almost no custom CSS. This lets you focus 90% of your energy on the core logic that actually delivers value.

These tips will help you start strong, but there are common mistakes that can easily derail your progress. Tomorrow, we'll cover the three most common mistakes I see builders make and how to avoid them.

As always, thanks for reading!
