The 3 mistakes that kill most micro-apps
Read this before you start your next build.
Ah, but here are the mistakes most people make when they set out to do this on their own. I'll explain why those mistakes happen and how I can help you avoid them.
I see aspiring builders make these all the time. They're not the result of a lack of skill, but a lack of a system.
Mistake #1: Building Without Validating
This is the most common and painful mistake. You get a brilliant idea, sacrifice your weekend to build it, and launch to the sound of crickets. Why? Because you never confirmed if anyone actually wanted it. This is why the "$1 Pre-Sale Test" is a non-negotiable part of our system.
Mistake #2: Over-Engineering the V1
This comes from a good place—wanting to build a great product. But it's fatal. You add user accounts, a settings page, and multiple features to an app that doesn't even have a paying customer yet. The "perfect" becomes the enemy of the profitable. A V1 should do one thing well. That's it.
Mistake #3: Having No Launch Plan
You finish the build, upload the code to a server, and then... what? You post a single tweet and hope for the best. A launch isn't a single action; it's a sequence. It requires a prepared sales page, a plan for distribution (like Product Hunt or Indie Hackers), and a commitment to engage with feedback.
The AI Hustle Lab is designed to help you avoid these mistakes by providing a clear, repeatable playbook for every stage.
The best way to avoid these mistakes is to follow a proven template. Tomorrow, I'm going to share a big piece of our internal system with you—our complete "Micro-App Launch Checklist."
As always, thanks for reading!
See you tomorrow,

P.S. Every builder makes these mistakes at least once. The key is to learn from them and install a system so you don't make them again.
